Join SECRES for a Wind Farm Tour

Meet at the Walmart at Woodmen and Powers at 8:00 AM and carpool for a 9:00 tour.

The SE chapter of the Colorado Renewable Energy Society has arranged a tour of the 294 megawatt NEXTera Energy wind farm in eastern El Paso County. The tour is limited to the first 40 people who register, with priority for SECRES members, so act now! A suggested donation of $10 would be appreciated. Once our carpool arrives at the wind farm, NEXTera will give us a talk as a group, then we’ll get into smaller groups to go into the base of a wind turbine where a technical engineer will give us a tour.

• If you live near Calhan, we can meet you there before heading to NEXRera
