Two recent TED talks help highlight the positive advances of Renewable Energy in the world around us. The first one, “The Case for Optimism on Climate Change” features an enthusiastic Al Gore from February of this year. It starts out with the hard truth, and goes on to provide an insight into what we hoped for just 10- 15 years ago and how much further we’ve actually come in advancing Solar and Wind energy.
The second one, also filmed in February stars the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay in his native dress. It’s titled “This Country Isn’t Just Carbon Neutral – It’s Carbon Negative” and provides a gorgeous look at the positive environmental choices this country of 700,000 people is making with their rivers and forests. Watchout, it might make you want to travel there.
If you need a lift when it seems we’re slogging along to reach our renewable energy goals, take a look at these for a joyful window into some possibilities.
