Drake Decommissioning Report to be Presented at February Utilities Board Meeting

Project manager, Navigant Consulting, will make a special presentation to the Utilities Board at their February meeting.  The consultant will summarize the report’s findings and alternatives, and then take questions from the Utilities Board and comment from the public.

 

Due to the anticipated interest, the February 19 meeting will be moved to the City Hall Council Chamber at 107 N. Nevada Avenue at 1:00 p.m, and will be televised on Springs TV.

 

The Board will discuss a decision process, timelines and other factors that need to be considered, including the 2012 Electric Integrated Resource Plan, additional public input, and the upcoming recommendation from the Utilities Policy Advisory Committee regarding the Energy Vision. A Board decision on the organization’s future energy supply is expected by summer, 2014.
